The Denver Press Club is a non-profit organization and club that has existed since 1867 to support the quality and ethical journalism, and membership is open to anyone who supports that mission. It is the nation's oldest press club, dating back to 1867. There has never been a time when we are needed more to promote and strengthen journalism,  and educate the public on protecting accurate and independent reporting.

As a community deeply aware that a democracy and society can not thrive without the conversations started by those willing to relay the truth, we also know that our greatest strength comes from the community we share. As a result, our historic landmark building serves not just as the center for our journalistic endeavors -- hosting speakers on community issues, journalistic training and sponsorship of scholarships -- but also as our home for parties and events more akin to Denver’s (and our) raucous past. This includes providing journalists, writers, photographers and videographers a place to discuss their work and issues important to journalism.

In order to support our mission, the Club also operates as an Events Center serving private events throughout the year. Our 1925 building, which is on the National Historic Register, includes a bar, dining room, large meeting room, as well as a poker and billiards room in the basement.

Given the building's historic status, the club regularly hosts community meetings discussing local history.

We invite you to continue to explore our club, what we do, and the potential for becoming a member of one of the most engaging communities anywhere.

Who  are members of the Denver Press Club?
